A Sailor’s Perspective

A photo exhibit to launch the Blackberry 12th Philippine Hobie Challenge.

Catamaran Sailing is fast becoming an emerging extreme sport in the Philippines that allows people to travel to undiscovered islands in an eco-friendly manner. Blessed with over 7,100 islands, beautiful topical beaches and sailable conditions throughout most of the year, the Philippines is known to be a sailor’s paradise. This year, PHINSAF will once again bring sailors around the beautiful islands of the Philippines through the Blackberry 12th Philippine Hobie Challenge, set to sail through 5 islands in Palawan to distribute free solar home systems for local fishing communities. Join us as we launch this activity through a photo exhibit featuring snapshots of the different Philippine islands the Hobie Challenge sailed through since it began in 2000. Notable personalities participating in this year’s Hobie Challenge such as current Hobie 16 World Champion Mick Butler will be present at the launch to share their sailing adventures.

As a special treat, BlackBerry handsets will be raffled off to lucky guests during the event. We hope to see you there!
